Job Summary
Design robust mechanical modules, subsystems, and integrated microwave assemblies using 3D CAD software and computational fluid dynamics analysis. Conduct finite element analysis for structural and frequency studies, then generate fabrication drawings and assembly instructions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development lifecycles to evaluate customer proposals and refine requirements. Support engineering requests from Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality while ensuring designs comply with VITA and MIL-STDs. Work on-site at the Marlborough, MA facility on a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with a 3-day weekend.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years of experience performing engineering-related duties
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Draftsight, AutoCAD, and other CAD software
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM, SolidWorks Flow Simulation, and SolidWorks Simulation
- Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
- Knowledge of MIL-STDs, VITA Standards, and NASA Standards
- Skilled in Root Cause Analysis for effective problem-solving
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles
- Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and communication with colleagues and customers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- On-site at the Marlborough, MA manufacturing facility
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of MIL-STDs, VITA Standards, and NASA Standards preferred
