Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design in a product development and consulting environment. Responsibilities include leading development of new technologies, taking ownership of client communications and project management, coaching junior engineers, and guiding the product design process through to production. Candidates should have 8-12 years of industry experience, a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and strong 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) skills, with exposure to manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting). Desired experience includes biomedical products or industrial automation and prior consulting experience. The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, and mentoring engineers while delivering designs and timelines for clients.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8-12 years of industry experience
- 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Experience with manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting) a plus
- Experience designing biomedical products or industrial automation a plus
- Experience in consulting is a plus
- Strong communication and project management skills
