Job Summary
Conduct mechanical design and engineering work across HVAC, industrial piping, plumbing, and utility systems for chemical, power, and industrial facilities. Coordinate with engineering disciplines to produce construction drawings and details, while developing conceptual designs and cost estimates. Create design drawings using Revit 3D software and conduct investigative energy assessments to identify savings measures. Specify mechanical equipment and design building utility piping systems, then summarize results in written reports. Visit job sites for upfit projects involving day trips and overnight domestic travel. Adhere to Ramboll's Project Execution Manual and Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- No sponsorship is available for this position
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or greater
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
- Experience designing large scale hydronic systems
- Working knowledge of fire protection requirements for industrial facilities, including the IFC, NFPA standards and FM Global guidelines
- Desire to work in chemical, power, and industrial market segment
- Desire and ability to work at industrial facilities gathering data for designs (expect <10% travel)
- Detail oriented individual
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced work environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Autodesk Revit is preferred
