Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer provides technical design and coordination for mechanical building systems within an Architectural & Engineering environment. Delivers safe, compliant, efficient, and constructible HVAC, plumbing, piping, ventilation, and related systems from concept through construction administration. Collaborates with Architecture, Structural, Electrical, and Process Engineering; performs heat load calculations, duct sizing, hydronic sizing, and system modeling; prepares mechanical plans, sections, details, schedules, and specifications; reviews submittals and RFIs; conducts site visits; ensures compliance with IMC/IBC/ASHRAE and local codes; ensures quality and constructability across project phases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
- 3+ years of mechanical engineering experience in relevant environments
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with mechanical load calculation software
- Ability to interpret architectural layouts and multidisciplinary drawings
