Job Summary
Lead design and coordination of HVAC and plumbing systems for large commercial and K-12 projects using Revit and AutoCAD; mentor junior staff; manage Revit models, equipment schedules, and coordination with other building elements; perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and field inspections; ensure compliance with safety codes and project requirements. Responsibilities include developing and modifying Revit models of plumbing and HVAC systems, reviewing modeling techniques, overseeing design execution for Revit and AutoCAD documents across multiple projects, monitoring equipment schedules, managing interferences, interpreting consultant documents, mentoring designers and engineers, organizing detailed project documentation, producing coordinated floor plans and isometrics, and directing junior staff on HVAC calculations and equipment selection.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of work experience with an engineering consultant
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering technology degree
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam
- Physical ability and willingness to conduct site inspections and fieldwork (climb ladders, walk on roofs)
- Ability to self-assess and maintain high accuracy
