Job Summary
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Amentum, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating engineering and design activities, developing engineering solutions for complex projects throughout the full project life cycle, identifying design requirements, producing technical reports and specifications, reviewing technical deliverables, and presenting engineering solutions to stakeholders. To qualify, you should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, along with chartered or incorporated status with a professional body. Relevant industry experience, particularly in highly regulated environments, is advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC/HND with significant experience)
- Attained/or working towards chartered or incorporated status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IMechE)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of highly regulated environments
- Familiarity with UKCA/CE Marking, CDM, PUWER, LOLER, PED, Machinery’s Directive
