Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead development and industrialization of high-volume injection-molded plastic consumables for precision fluid dispensing. Responsibilities include guiding designs from concept through tooling release, validation, and production launch; leading technical activities across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and external molders; owning DFMEA/PFMEA and risk mitigation; selecting and validating polymer materials; creating CAD models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks with GD&T; performing mold flow analysis, FEA, and tolerance analysis; leading design verification/validation planning and execution; providing support to sustain existing products; and contributing to electro-mechanical sub-systems as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years of mechanical product development experience
- strong emphasis on injection-molded plastic components and consumable products
- experience leading high-volume molded part designs through full product lifecycle, including tooling, validation, and ramp-up
- SolidWorks proficiency with GD&T
- experience with DFMEA, ECOs, and structured design processes
- experience with FEA and tolerance analysis
- ability to produce clear engineering documentation
- strong cross-functional communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- 8+ years of mechanical product development experience

- SolidWorks 3D CAD and GD&T drawing production
- experience with DFMEA, ECO/change management
- knowledge of mold tooling fundamentals, gate/flow, shrink/warp, cosmetic requirements
- experience with FEA, tolerance analysis, and interpretation of simulation results
- ability to create clear engineering documentation (drawings, test plans, reports, SOPs, change orders)
- strong cross-functional collaboration across global teams
