Senior Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary
Lead the design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Manage all project phases from planning and design through construction administration while serving as the primary client contact. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and staff. This role supports the Facilities division at McFarland Johnson, a 100% employee-owned firm with 80 years of experience delivering infrastructure solutions across the country.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 6 to 12 years of mechanical design experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional building facilities
- Strong working knowledge of Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and MS Office
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Superior organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams

Desired Qualifications
- PE licensure
- EIT
- Sustainable design experience with LEED accreditation
