Job Summary
Conduct feasibility studies, lead HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design, and prepare construction documents for municipal and institutional facilities. Manage multiple projects from design through construction by coordinating with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams while serving as the key technical contact for clients. Review shop drawings, conduct site inspections, and support commissioning and troubleshooting. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and drive projects to completion across diverse infrastructure challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (NJ preferred)
- 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Strong experience designing HVAC systems
- Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems
- Experience working on municipal, institutional, or infrastructure projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with clients and contractors
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit
- Knowledge of ASHRAE and NFPA codes
- Experience with facility upgrades, school renovations, or treatment facilities
