Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer leading the design and execution of HVAC and building systems for commercial, healthcare, education, and institutional projects. Drive development of high-quality construction documents (plans, specifications, load calculations) and manage project timelines, scope, and client coordination. Serve as primary client liaison, coordinate with electrical/plumbing/structural/civil teams, oversee QA/QC, conduct site visits and construction administration, evaluate design options, and mentor junior engineers. Requires PE licensure, a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 15+ years of experience in the AEC/building systems space, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience within the AEC or building systems environment
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed
- Deep knowledge of HVAC system design, load calculations, and equipment selection
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and multidisciplinary coordination
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
- Proven experience managing projects, timelines, and client relationships
- Experience across healthcare, commercial, or institutional project types
- Strong background in construction administration and field coordination
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead engineering teams
