Job Summary
Review and stamp mechanical projects of all complexities and sizes while directing design strategies for complex initiatives. Provide technical leadership within the mechanical team by leading audits, feasibility assessments, and investigations to write corresponding reports. Communicate with clients and contractors, conducting site visits to troubleshoot construction issues and on-site control problems. Requires 10+ years of design experience in building construction, including multi-unit residential and healthcare sectors, with extensive knowledge of OBC, ASHRAE, CSA, and ASPE standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of design experience in the building construction industry
- at least 5 years design experience in Canada
- Multi-unit residential design experience
- Experience with DDC control systems; writing sequences of operations and specifications, and troubleshooting on-site control issues
- Extensive code knowledge including but not limited to: OBC, ASHRAE standards, CSA standards, ASPE standards
- Design experience in commercial, industrial, educational, multi-unit residential, healthcare, government
