Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer responsible for leading asset-improvement projects and developing equipment and processes that meet safety requirements. You will lead major initiatives to improve asset performance or mill systems, apply LEAN principles, and manage multiple projects from inception through installation and commissioning. The role involves collaborating with maintenance, operators, and other personnel, providing mentorship and knowledge transfer, supporting troubleshooting, and preparing for capital planning while traveling up to 15%. Based in Loudon, TN, with responsibility for production equipment and packaging/distribution systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- At least 7 years of industrial experience in high-speed consumer product manufacturing and/or staff environment
- Demonstrated ability to perform in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives within required timeframes
