Job Summary
Coordinate Opex and Capex projects, investigate plant issues, and guide long-term asset management plans for hydro generation assets across the South Island. Balance big picture thinking with practical problem-solving to shape decisions on maintenance strategies and project delivery. Provide technical judgement on mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and condition monitoring while collaborating with asset, operations, and project teams. Clutha-based candidates are preferred, with secondary consideration for Christchurch; regular travel around the South Island is expected. Applications close 5pm Monday the 17th of August.
Required Qualifications
- relevant engineering qualification
- strong experience in heavy industrial or power generation environments
- solid understanding of mechanical systems
- solid understanding of rotating equipment
- solid understanding of condition monitoring
- solid understanding of asset lifecycle management
- experience coordinating projects
- contributing to asset management strategies
- supporting investigations
- Professional registration
- membership of an engineering institution
- experience with financial modelling
- experience with commercial drivers
- right to live and work in New Zealand
