Job Summary
Lead the mechanical engineering execution of medium to large material handling and conveyor projects from design through installation. Serve as the primary technical resource for customers, project teams, vendors, and field personnel by reviewing scope, specifications, and designs to ensure successful execution. Conduct system design, 3D model, and constructability reviews while resolving technical and installation issues. Develop engineering schedules, manage deliverables and drawing releases, and coordinate activities with Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and Field Installation. Mentor Project Engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and customer satisfaction. Requires a Bachelor's in mechanical engineering and 6–10 years of material handling experience with 10% domestic travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- 6–10 years of material handling or conveyor systems engineering experience
- Experience leading medium to large engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of conveyor systems, mechanical design, and engineering standards
- Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and project coordination skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
- Travel Approximately 10% domestic travel based on project needs
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor; experience with Navisworks, BIM, and Microsoft Project is a plus
