Job Summary
Lead design and integration of mechanical systems across EV platforms, supporting battery system packaging, mounting, and integration. Collaborate closely with electrical and controls engineering teams to drive design reviews, prototyping, validation, and engineering change processes. Develop mechanical design standards and best practices while supporting vehicle builds, troubleshooting, and system-level integration efforts. This contract engagement may convert to a full-time direct hire role. The position requires seven or more years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably within EV, automotive, or mobility systems, with strong CAD proficiency and startup product development exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Experience within EV, automotive, mobility, or transportation systems
- Strong understanding of battery systems, chassis integration, thermal considerations, and prototype development
- CAD proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Startup or early-stage product development experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-moving engineering environment
