Job Summary
Perform mechanical engineering design and technical delivery across healthcare, commercial, higher education, and civic projects, supporting HVAC, air distribution, hydronic, plumbing, and building systems. Participate in the full project lifecycle from concept development through construction and close-out, analyzing site conditions and drawings to prepare technical reports and specifications. Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions and support client interactions. Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development within the Property & Buildings team in Riverside, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
- 5+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design for building systems
- Experience supporting projects across healthcare and/or commercial, higher education, or civic sectors
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical design principles
- Experience supporting projects from design through construction
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related engineering tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or on track to obtain
- Experience working on complex healthcare or institutional projects
- Familiarity with California codes and local jurisdiction requirements
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- LEED AP or sustainability credentials
