Job Summary
Lead and manage mechanical improvement and capital maintenance projects within heavy industrial settings like steel mills and oil refineries. Develop engineering solutions to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency while working closely with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to address mechanical challenges. Provide technical guidance and oversight for contractors and junior engineers, and support business development efforts by building relationships with clients and industry partners. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders. This role offers the potential to transition into a management or leadership position overseeing projects, teams, or departments.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within steel mills, refineries, or other heavy industries
- Strong expertise in capital projects, mechanical system upgrades, and equipment reliability
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize mechanical systems
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with an interest in business development
Desired Qualifications
- PE license (preferred but not required)
