Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager will independently manage multiple projects from conceptual design through construction closeout, leading design teams of project engineers and outside consultants. The candidate should possess extensive experience in the A/E/C environment, ideally with a focus on K-12 and higher education projects. Responsibilities include overseeing the production of construction documents, managing construction administration, applying quality control measures, and pursuing new business development initiatives. The role requires strong communication skills, leadership ability, and a proven track record in project management.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed engineer with a minimum of 15 years of successful project management experience
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC design experience
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience in a consulting environment
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
- Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- High-level time management capabilities
- Proven track record in the local A/E/C industry
Desired Qualifications
- Strong K-12/higher education experience in the noted geographical area
- Experience in interacting with various levels of government agencies and municipalities
- High-level proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
- Knowledge of Revit
