Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, Machine Builders, and Fabrication specialists to design, test, and validate automation systems. Responsibilities include developing layouts for robotic work cells in SolidWorks CAD, managing projects, interpreting GD&T for tooling designs, and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, experience in designing automated machinery, knowledge of controls systems, and proficiency in CAD software.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience designing automated machinery required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong understanding of controls systems, manufacturing processes, and robotic integration.
- Proven experience developing comprehensive design packages.
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced proficiency in parametric 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Direct knowledge of automated assembly processes with a preference for welding experience.
