Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Engineer leading and supporting mid-to-large Building Services projects from concept to handover. The role requires proven design experience, delivering on quality, time, and budget, and involves preparing specifications, schedules, drawings, and contract documents; managing mechanical design delivery; attending client meetings; preparing planning, design, and feasibility reports; ensuring compliance with the Project Management Plan and Programme; and working across Education, Science, Healthcare, and other sectors. Ideal candidates have Building Services design experience, knowledge of REVIT/CAD, and a track record of low-energy, sustainable designs; chartership or progression toward chartered status is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Experience in Building Services design, including developing detailed design drawings and calculations, specification writing, and compiling technical schedules
- Experience in Building Services designs across multiple sectors (Education, Science, Healthcare, etc)
- Experience taking conceptual designs through to completion and client liaison
- Experience delivering low-energy, sustainable designs
- Experience with REVIT / CAD is preferred
- Ideally a relevant mechanical, electrical, or building services degree, or related discipline with Chartered progression
- Chartered or qualifications to become chartered
- Active UK SC Clearance or ability to gain clearance; single UK nationality
