Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with at least ten years of experience, possessing a Professional Engineer license, to lead design team efforts in HVAC and plumbing systems. This full-time role involves project management, business development, and consulting work with clients in the D.C. Metro area, primarily out of a hybrid work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 10+ years of engineering work experience
- Designing HVAC and plumbing systems
- Managing and designing multiple concurrent projects
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
- Leading design team efforts
- Managing project team for budget and schedule control
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams
- Ability to travel periodically
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Load Calculation Software
- Working knowledge of REVIT and CAD
- Local AHJ experience and relationships
- Active local industry involvement
- Energy modeling experience
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must be United States Citizens or Green Card Holders
- Candidates must work a hybrid work schedule out of Fulton, MD office
