Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Designer responsible for creating, organizing, and disseminating 3D mechanical designs using Inventor/AutoCAD for complex turnkey power generation projects. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and team members to develop accurate schematics and technical specifications, perform quality checks, maintain records, and assist with equipment drawings, installation/testing, and RFQ development. Continuously improve drafting skills and adapt to changing technologies and industry practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in drafting, preferably with mechanical systems
- 3+ years of industry-related experience or an associate degree in a technical field
- Proficient in AutoCAD and related software
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry practices
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience in EPC organizations or construction-focused project environments
- Experience with installation, operation, or troubleshooting of industrial automation equipment
- Extensive knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical/Mechanical, Excel, and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
