Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Designer focused on delivering high-quality designs for technically challenging building systems in life sciences facilities. Responsibilities include field surveys, conceptual design development for ductwork and piping distribution, airflow and piping diagrams, pressurization plans, equipment arrangement, detailing, schedules, sections, elevations, and coordination with engineers, architects, and contractors. Requires experience in REVIT 3D, BIM 360, AutoCAD, and a track record of delivering full design packages from concept to construction documents with minimal oversight. Hybrid workweek with a 9-hour/4-day schedule and field-based flexibility; opportunities for licensing support and career growth.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressively responsible mechanical design experience
- development of full design packages for technically complex building systems
- proficient with REVIT 3D, BIM 360, and AutoCAD
- ability to take ownership of mechanical design scope from conceptual layout through construction documents with minimal oversight
- strong verbal and written communication skills
