Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Designer responsible for the design, development, and verification of mechanical components including sheet-metal and machined-metal parts and assemblies. Leads small project groups, mentors peers, conducts peer reviews, and ensures designs are producible with attention to manufacturability and packaging for high-performance electronics in harsh environments. Requires advanced 3D modeling (AutoCAD, Inventor), FEA/CFD knowledge, and ability to support the Pilot Line build and testing, training of new hires, and collaboration with manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- US Person (US Citizen, permanent resident, or protected person)
- Associate of Science degree in mechanical engineering with 5+ years of mechanical design experience or 8+ years of mechanical design experience in lieu of degree
