Senior Mechanical Designer 1 - Nuclear Power

Under the direction of the Mechanical Project Lead, develop mechanical physical layout drawings in a 3-D model and design mechanical systems while investigating and solving design issues. Utilize 3D modeling software to generate schematics and act as the design team lead to coordinate detailed design phases for integrated mechanical models. Coordinate guidance for other designers to ensure timely deliverables, including general arrangements, piping isometrics, support drawings, and equipment locations. Independently plan and execute these design tasks, with opportunities for field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities. Mentor less experienced drafters and designers. Work onsite at the Duane Arnold Energy Center, starting remotely before transitioning to a hybrid schedule of three days in the office.
