Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for leading mechanical hardware design and system integration on defense programs. The role involves design and development across the product lifecycle for missiles, launchers, support equipment, and electronics packaging; performing mechanical design analyses for form, fit, and function; leading small teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; providing production and factory-site support in domestic and international locations; participating in design reviews and trade studies; mentoring less experienced engineers and contributing to team development. Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (CREO or similar), GD&T, and creating/maintaining engineering drawings and technical data packages is required; readiness to travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- STEM degree
- minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with minimum 3 years experience
- experience in mechanical design, manufacturing or tooling processes
- experience with 3D CAD design tools
- ability to travel domestically and internationally
