Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Construction Estimator responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects, reviewing plans and specs to determine scope and materials, collaborating with project teams to develop cost management plans, providing value engineering options, performing cost risk analysis, communicating with clients and stakeholders, and utilizing estimating software. Requires client-facing experience, knowledge of value management and value engineering, and strong communication skills. Salary range $130K-$165K per year. Responsibilities emphasize detailed estimating, scope determination, collaboration, cost control, value engineering, and ensuring adherence to estimating standards and SOX controls where applicable. This role expects the use of industry-specific estimation tools and the ability to prepare formal estimating reports and defend assumptions and clarifications. Educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline, with minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience and a strong client-facing aptitude.
