Job Summary
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems in construction projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and project requirements. Collaborate with project teams, clients, and contractors to develop comprehensive cost management plans, analyze project needs, and provide value engineering options. Utilize industry-specific software to generate formal estimating reports covering quantities, costs, escalations, and assumptions while adhering to SOX controls where applicable. Assist in developing estimating standards and best practices, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry methodologies. Requires a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or construction management with 3-5 years of experience supporting large-scale projects. Salary range $135K-$150K; on-site presence may vary based on client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Thrives in a client facing role
- Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs
- Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering
- Strong communication skills
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
