Job Summary
Conduct failure evaluation, material selection, and metallurgical analysis for internal and external clients in the power and related industries. Lead and review project activities including welding design evaluation, development of welding procedures, and vendor shop oversight. Manage Nondestructive Examination (NDE) testing, QC program planning, Factory Acceptance Testing, and corrosion or coating evaluations. Prepare technical reports, analyze data trends, and develop technical specifications while managing personnel and training employees. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and offers a relocation package.
Required Qualifications
- BS or MS from an ABET-accredited engineering program or related academic experience
- 5 or more years of experience in welding, NDE techniques / performance, QC, and materials / metallurgy / welding
- One of the following certifications: American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- ASNT Level II NDT Certification(s) – VT, MT, PT, RT, UT, or ET
- AMPP Coating Inspection certification or related qualification
- Proficiency with MS Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical reasoning
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications
- Previous NDE, Welding, or QC Program Manager experience
- Experience in the power (fossil or nuclear) or related industries
- Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training or a Professional Engineering (PE) License
