Senior Materials Planner Buyer

Conduct all purchasing functions for goods and raw materials, including source selection, negotiations, order placement, and follow-up. Negotiate prices and lead times with vendors outside corporate contracts, resolve quotation conflicts, and analyze specifications to determine optimal procurement sources. Monitor purchase price variances, manage supplier delivery performance using KPIs, and coordinate purchasing activities between management and customers to address standard and non-standard issues. Plan and place material purchase orders aligned with MPS/MRP schedules, expedite orders to prevent production line stoppages, and attend shortage meetings to research alternative vendors. Support Lean and 5S activities, train new purchasing team members, and escalate supplier issues through follow-up meetings and site visits as required.
