Senior Materials Handler

Job Summary
Manage loading, unloading, and transportation of materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment while overseeing receipt, inspection, and storage of materials. Perform inventory cycle counts, reconcile packing slips with purchase orders, and coordinate with the logistics team to fulfill material requests and anticipate shortages. Mentor and lead warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently, while actively participating in process improvement efforts to increase operational efficiency. Travel as required to support job site material logistics and act as the point of contact for material requests.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- Minimum 2 years of experience in materials handling, warehouse operation, or logistics
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or projects
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to travel as needed to support logistics across various job site
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interface directly with clients
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential logistical issues
- Self-motivated with excellent time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet
- Must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies) if required to do so
- Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces
Desired Qualifications
- Additional Training in supply chain or logistics
- Forklift certification
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic logistics software
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
