Job Summary
Lead procurement activities for construction materials in residential projects, including civil, architectural, and finishing works. Review technical specifications, drawings, and BOQs to ensure correct sourcing, then source, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors. Prepare RFQs, compare quotations, and negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract conditions while maintaining cost control and supporting value engineering. Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for approvals, monitor delivery schedules against timelines, and track market trends for price fluctuations. Manage supplier performance, maintain vendor relationships, and handle procurement documentation, contracts, and purchase orders. Support risk management for supply chain delays and ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and authority regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in procurement/material engineering within construction projects
- Experience with BOQ interpretation, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills
- Familiarity with procurement systems and ERP tools
- Strong analytical and cost control mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight project deadlines
- Knowledge of local and international material standards
