Senior Material Handler - First Shift

Job Summary
Receive incoming raw materials and facilitate movement of hazardous materials across the site. Maintain accurate inventory through receipts, adjustments, and cycle counts while efficiently handling materials to fulfill customer orders. Use material handling equipment to safely transport specimens within the facility and resolve discrepancies with materials. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine material needs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes. Work standard 8am-5pm Monday through Friday shifts in cold room environments ranging from ambient to -196 degrees C.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience
- Proven experience in material handling in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to accurately track inventory
- Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs and push up to 70 lbs
- Able to work in a cold environment with exposure to dry ice, liquid nitrogen cryogenics, hazardous and infectious agents, and marked changes in temperature
- Must use personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
