Job Summary

Senior Market Development Specialist role within Boeing Global Services, focusing on Support Equipment (SE) market development, sustaining and growing SE markets for U.S. and allied defense customers. Develop go-to-market strategies for SE sustainment and SE product development (ATE, maintenance/test systems, calibration, spares/repair networks). Travel up to 50% to engage with customers, program offices, training commands, prime integrators, and industry partners; translate customer needs into SE product requirements, value propositions, MoEs/MoPs, and business cases; support capture, proposals, and technical-commercial content; collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, and program management to define scalable SE solutions and product roadmaps. Monitor competitive SE offerings and advise on roadmap decisions. Thorough knowledge of DoD acquisition/sustainment processes and procurement pathways (FMS, IDIQs, OTA). The role is US-based with multiple domestic office locations and requires eligibility for U.S. security clearance; relocation is available based on eligibility. The position is not a safety-sensitive role, but requires background checks and export-control compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience focused on support equipment, maintenance/test systems, ATE, or SE sustainment/product development supporting defense customers
  • 10+ years proven familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense acquisition and sustainment processes, PEOs, program offices, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling SE business cases and influence procurement and product decisions with government and internal stakeholders
  • Preferred: Direct experience influencing procurement outcomes for SE/ATE solutions and representing SE product positions to government customers
  • Preferred: Experience developing SE product roadmaps, investment cases, or transitioning technology from development to fielded sustainment solutions
  • Establish relationships with service SE leads, PEOs, sustainment commands, prime integrators, and SE industry partners
  • Prior embedded or on-site BD experience where the BD was co-located with engineering or SE program teams to speed translation of customer needs into product decisions
  • U.S. export control compliance requirements; U.S. Citizenship or eligible requirements for security clearance may be needed
