Job Summary
Senior Marine Systems Engineer responsible for professionally and efficiently executing work in Marine Systems Engineering, acting as Technical Lead and Technical Assurer on specified projects, and Project Manager on defined engagements. Role involves providing Marine Systems advice to external and internal customers, managing own technical work, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance with business ethics and QMS processes, maintaining and expanding technical competency, and mentoring staff. Role requires knowledge in marine/mechanical design for platforms from small vessels to large ships, coordination with shipyards/OEMs, adherence to IMO, Class Society, and Transport Canada regulations, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Marine Systems Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Marine Systems Engineering
- Existing registration or ability to obtain registration with Professional Engineering governance body in Province of work
- Eligible for a Canadian security clearance
