Job Summary
Provide technical support and documentation for marine vessels, ship machinery, and propulsion systems including power supply, diesels, gas turbines, and dynamic positioning interfaces. Research and develop propulsion systems while applying knowledge of ABS, NVR, and commercial ship design rules. Design, develop, and evaluate the operation of marine vessels and shipboard propulsion machinery. Conduct and oversee trade studies on propulsion configurations and machinery arrangements. Review and develop technical data packages, provide oversight on machinery development, and develop system documentation and ship specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer or related field
- 6+ years of experience with developing ship propulsion and control systems, machinery arrangements, weight assessments, and conducting trade studies on the configuration of propulsion and associated components
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
