Job Summary
Senior Manufacturing Tooling Engineer to design, develop, and maintain tooling systems (fixtures, jigs, and end-of-arm tooling) across multiple product lines; create detailed CAD drawings and specifications; troubleshoot tooling-related production issues; manage tooling budgets and vendor relationships; drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in defense hardware manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing tooling design and implementation
- Expert capability with (at least one) 3D CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA)
- Demonstrated experience with tooling design for precision manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of machining processes, materials properties, and manufacturing methods
- Expert in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
