Job Summary
Operate 2nd Shift SMT, Select Solder, and X-ray equipment while reading schematics and interpreting drawings to perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing. Integrate sub-assemblies into final hardware, execute small system assembly, conduct basic electrical tests, and handle complex rework or refurbishment of electronic and mechanical units. Apply continuous improvement techniques and maintain proficiency in polarity, Bills of Material tracking, and measurement standards. This role supports mission-critical solutions for service members and first responders at General Dynamics Mission Systems, offering hands-on training in advanced manufacturing technologies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- U.S. citizenship
- Eligibility for U.S. Government security investigation and access to classified information
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Clear knowledge of polarity and inspection criteria
- Clear knowledge of Bills of Material (BOM)
- Clear knowledge of applicable work order tracking management systems
- Clear knowledge of measuring equipment and math
- Solid communication skills
