Job Summary
Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer on-site at Abbott Temecula site. Leads design and development of manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to meet daily production schedules while improving productivity and product quality. Manages projects including new production equipment, process improvements, and cost reductions; provides technical mentorship to engineers, technicians, and operators; conducts Process FMEAs and validations; implements Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives; ensures compliance with FDA, GMP, QMS, EMS, ISO, and other regulatory requirements; coordinates tooling development, design for manufacturability, and qualification activities; collaborates with Product Development and cross-functional teams; experiences with sterilization technologies (Radiation, Ethylene Oxide, V-H2O2) and process validation, CAPA, and data-driven problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or any Engineering or technical field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience
- Experience in manufacturing engineering experience, medical device experience required
- Demonstrated leadership capability in team settings
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
- Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
- Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills and attention to detail
