Senior Manufacturing Operations Analyst – Workplace Coach

Job Summary
Conduct assessments of processes and practices against applicable standards and criteria, analyzing and interpreting data to identify skill gaps, unsafe work practices, and efficiency opportunities. Serve as an on-floor subject matter expert enabling rapid skills transfer through hands-on coaching of technicians on sheet metal, fastener installation, bonding, and corrosion repair. Provide targeted, just-in-time mentoring and contribute to root cause investigations for recurring structural issues, defining practical corrective actions. Implement strategies aligned with Boeing quality systems and safety procedures while documenting all coaching activities. Requires 10+ years in propulsion thermal protection systems and manufacturing environments; first shift with up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with propulsion thermal protection systems
- 10+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
- 10+ years of experience in NASA Space programs or a related Space or Defense program
- 5+ years of experience coaching in a manufacturing environment
- 5 years of experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems common image (MESci)
- 5+ years of experience implementing lean principles
- 5+ years of experience developing and implementing process improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment
- Able to walk, stand and enter A/C via steps or ladders
- Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process
- Subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
- Experience working with Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
