Job Summary
Senior Manufacturing Equipment Engineer to optimize production equipment and drive world-class OEE. Lead continuous improvement projects to maximize yield, cycle time, and equipment availability; develop and deploy SCADA systems for real-time production data; perform root-cause analysis for equipment failures; collaborate with design engineering, quality, and production to resolve issues and ramp newly launched products to full-scale production. Role involves sustaining automation, robotics, PLC/HMI logic, and conveyance infrastructure; cross-functional teamwork across manufacturing operations. Requires analytical mindset, 8+ years in manufacturing equipment engineering, and active U.S. Secret clearance. Temporary assignment in Santa Ana, CA for 3 months before transition to Asheville, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of manufacturing experience in equipment engineering, automation, or reliability
- Proven PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Strong robotics, motion control, and mechanical/electrical subsystems knowledge in production
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) with measurable OEE gains
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities; quick solution delivery
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance
