Job Summary
Senior-level manufacturing engineering role focusing on optimizing production equipment, driving OEE improvements, and leading cross-functional efforts to ramp new products. Responsibilities include analyzing and optimizing equipment for safety and efficiency, championing continuous improvement projects to maximize yield and cycle time, collaborating with process engineering and maintenance to improve reliability, developing Scada systems for real-time data, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating with design engineering, quality, and production to rapidly resolve issues. Requires hands-on expertise with PLCs/HMIs, robotics, automation, Lean/Six Sigma, and experience in a defense/aerospace context with security clearance eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment focused on equipment engineering, automation, or reliability
- Programming and troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), HMIs, and industrial automation systems
- Strong understanding of robotics, motion control systems, and mechanical/electrical subsystems in a production setting
- Proven ability to lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) resulting in measurable OEE gains
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to implement effective solutions quickly
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
