Job Summary
Senior Manufacturing Engineer at a food-manufacturing plant in Logan, UT, driving process improvement across manufacturing workflows. Applies engineering principles, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance process capability, reduce waste, improve throughput and cycle time, and ensure food safety and quality. Leads and supports equipment modifications and new installations from concept through commissioning, utilizes FMEA and SPC/GR&R to identify risks and variability, and partners with QA, maintenance, reliability, process excellence, and supply chain to sustain improvements. Tasks include process evaluation, designing and sustaining improvements, supporting scale-up of new products, defining control plans and in-process measurements, troubleshooting issues, and supporting Lean and Six Sigma initiatives. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, or related field)
- Typically requires a minimum of 5–8 years of relevant engineering experience
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement methodologies
- Understanding of food safety and quality systems (HACCP, GMP, regulatory standards) or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge
- Experience using data analysis, statistical tools, and problem-solving methodologies
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across functions
- Ability to travel up to approximately 10%
