Job Summary

Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Machining at Beehive Industries. Develop, implement, and improve machining processes for new and existing products; provide hands-on support to production to resolve machining, tooling, and process issues; create and maintain work instructions, process sheets, and standard work documentation; lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost; support new product introduction (NPI) including fixture design, tooling selection, and process validation; optimize CNC programs, feeds, speeds, and tooling to improve efficiency and reduce scrap; work with Quality to investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions; collaborate with maintenance and operators to improve equipment reliability and uptime; support capital equipment selection, justification, installation, and validation; ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including aerospace quality standards when applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a machining environment
  • Strong knowledge of CNC machining (mills, lathes, multi-axis preferred)
  • Experience with process development, tooling, fixturing, and cycle time reduction
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Experience with root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on the production floor in a hands-on capacity
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issues security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-precision regulated industries
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with ERP / MRP systems
  • Project management experience
  • Experience with special processes such as heat treat, coating, or non-destructive testing is a plus
