Job Summary
Senior Manufacturing Engineer overseeing NDT Level III responsibilities within production, reviewing internal, customer, and industry specifications for non-destructive testing; leading investigations of NDT-related anomalies to identify root causes and institute corrective actions and mistake-proofing methodologies; maintaining NADCAP accreditation status; providing technical support across manufacturing, quality, heat treat, chemical processing, and NDT teams; directing training and development of staff and ensuring proper testing procedures (e.g., Nital Etch, Mag Particle, Fluorescent Penetrant) are executed in accordance with evolving standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education Required: 2 year technical degree in applied science and ASNT Level 3 Certification
- Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a NDT laboratory environment as well as applicable lab work to methods and procedures related to aerospace and Government standards
- Membership to ASM, ASTM, ASNT or other societies related to aerospace NDT studies are a plus
- Knowledge in metallurgical testing also an asset
- Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
- Must possess proven capability and initiative to function in a high technology environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Attention to detail
