Job Summary

Senior Manufacturing Engineer responsible for supporting current manufacturing and facilitating continuous improvement of manufacturing methods and processes in the plant; develops solutions for production problems related to materials, processes, and tooling; supports new products by developing processes, tooling, machinery, and production controls; sets up new equipment and trains others on proper operation; applies sound economic methods to equipment and space utilization to meet design and quality goals; drives Lean initiatives, 5S, Kaizen events, and capacity planning; plans and implements facility changes to produce forecasted volumes; maintains and troubleshoots manufacturing support software; collaborates with Materials, Quality Control, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, and Safety; leverages CAD tools (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor) for plant layout and tooling; requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 3-5 years of progressive manufacturing engineering experience; preferred HVAC Plant Continuous Improvement Manager experience and experience in low volume, high mix environments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • 3-5 years progressive manufacturing engineering experience
  • Lean manufacturing knowledge and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • AutoCAD proficiency required
  • Autodesk Inventor knowledge desired
  • Experience with capital equipment planning and procurement
  • Experience with 5S/Kaizen/continuous improvement programs
  • Experience with TAKT time and production control systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and tooling
  • Experience in low volume, high mix environments
  • Experience with cost estimation and financial controls
