Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary

Drive projects aligned with continuous improvement and insourcing goals by applying methodologies to establish process standards and identify required technologies. Design and prototype tooling and fixtures using CAD tools, while reviewing released drawings for manufacturability and safety to implement changes in electronic work instructions, process routings, and BOMs. Support the production floor with blueprint interpretation, redlines, and drawing change requests to reduce inefficiencies in material and labor costs while meeting quality objectives. Assist design engineering with design-to-cost and design-to-manufacturability exercises across bids, prototypes, and existing designs. Requires a B.S. in engineering, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro-E. Eligibility for US Government export control authorization is mandatory.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Industrial engineering
  • Proven track record of executing continuous improvement projects
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or Pro-E
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite, (i.e., Outlook, Excel, word, PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Eligible for any required authorization from the US Government for ITAR/EAR requirements

Desired Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred
