Job Summary
Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Composites to lead and scale in-house composites manufacturing processes from raw materials to flight parts, including the growth of the ceramic matrix composite (CMC) production line. Responsible for defining manufacturing strategy and culture, developing and refining process documentation, production plans and schedules, and close collaboration with supply chain, engineering leadership, and manufacturing teams. Key duties include capital equipment and facility planning, DFMs and design reviews, production tooling and equipment implementation, training and mentoring peers, and driving a lean, high-velocity production environment with capability to travel up to 30% and extend hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering, or other technical degree
- 5+ years of composite manufacturing experience
- Experience with operations/product line management
- Direct or indirect leadership experience
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (NX preferred)
- Experience in selection, procurement, and implementation/validation of manufacturing equipment
