Job Summary
Lead engineering process improvements for plant operations by collaborating with safety, quality, and environmental teams to enhance throughput and cost efficiency. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes while implementing control techniques and procedures to ensure zero defects and low production costs. Provide hands-on maintenance support, troubleshoot technical issues, and complete preventative maintenance tasks. Analyze process flows and work with the production department to develop technical training and maintain documentation of tool drawings. Utilize lean methodologies to achieve plant goals and build relationships across diverse organizational levels. This role reports directly to the Engineering or Operations Manager within BLUvera's construction products manufacturing department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience in process engineering/maintenance with emphasis on continuous process improvement
- Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product design
- Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, exterior finishes, interior finishes)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent root cause analysis skills
- Proven problem-solving and organizational skills
- Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Familiarity with electrical systems and UL compliance
- Proven Lean manufacturing experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Active listening skills and effective communication; openness to diverse input and feedback
- Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status
