Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary
Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to reduce costs, scrap, and cycle times while providing hands-on troubleshooting on the production floor. Collaborate with Application Engineering teams to ensure product manufacturability, develop manufacturing plans, and create work instructions for new product introductions. Design, procure, and install manufacturing tools, jigs, fixtures, and automated equipment, then write IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols and conduct process validations. Mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional project teams, and apply root cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues. Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and Manufacturing Bill of Materials, while managing multiple projects concurrently using project management software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent Technical Degree
- 7-10+ years in a manufacturing engineering role (or equivalent) within a highly regulated industry (aerospace, medical device, etc.)
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo)
- Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Ability to display fine manipulation by constantly using both hands and fingers to inspect, grasp, move, or assemble very small objects
- Ability to operate a computer 50% of the time or more
- Ability to frequently move about inside the manufacturing environment and access machinery
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language proficiently to ensure compliance with our ISO 13485 procedures
